Chairman named Executive of the Year at Big Project ME Awards 2023

February 8, 2024, Dubai, UAE - The Big Project Middle East (Big Project ME) Awards, an annual event celebrating excellence in the construction and infrastructure sectors, has honoured Hussain Sajwani, Chairman and Founder of DAMAC Group with its coveted Executive of the Year accolade.

This year, the 14th edition of the event drew over 160 esteemed guests from across the GCC, including international and local delegates representing government organisations, developers, operators, contractors, and suppliers, showcasing the pinnacle of achievement in the industry.

With a record-breaking 150 submissions received during the nomination phase, the Big Project ME editorial team and judges selected winners from a roster of outstanding nominees. The rigorous judging process, comprising two stages, ensured that only the most deserving candidates were recognised for their contributions.

The first phase involved meticulous vetting by the Big Project ME team to ensure adherence to nomination guidelines and standards. the judging panel comprised industry experts including Christopher Fanin, Senior Principal, Managing Director, InSite, Hesham Nour Eldeen, Practice Director, Structures, Civil Infrastructure, Transportation, UAE, AECOM, Majd Fayyad, DSM Strategy & Policy Lead, Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Nivine Issa, Founder & Managing Director, Terra Nexus and Jason Saundalkar, Head of Content, Big Project Middle East.

The success of the 14th edition of the Big Project ME Awards underscores the continued commitment of industry stakeholders to excellence and innovation in construction and infrastructure development across the region.

The Big Project ME Awards was held on 22 January, 2024, at the Ritz-Carlton JBR and is hosted by Big Project Middle East, one of the region’s most esteemed construction-focused publications.
