Dubai-based real estate developer DAMAC Properties is progressing with construction work on its AED2bn ($545m) luxury residential project, Cavalli Casa Tower in Dubai Marina.

In an official statement, the developer said that the construction works are 28% complete and that the work on external and internal finishings will commence in June. It added that the project is on track for completion by 2025.

The Cavalli Casa Tower is a 71-floor premium residential skyscraper featuring 436 two- to six-bedroom apartments equipped with Roberto Cavalli-branded interiors, private pools or jacuzzis, along with parking spaces, a sky pool and garden, dining and leisure spaces and an artificial beach.

The scheme has a built-up area of 78,976 square metres.

Dubai-based architect Shaun Killa designed the tower, which is located between Dubai Media City and Dubai Marina.

The local foundation contractor National Piling Corporation completed the enabling works on the project in December 2022.

In January last year, Meed exclusively reported that Damac had awarded Beijing-based China State Construction Engineering Corporation an estimated AED955m ($260m) main construction contract for the project.

In July 2023, China State completed the initial casting of the raft foundation, which consisted of over 2,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement and 4,500 cubic metres of concrete, and was completed over a period of 25 hours.

Damac marked its entry into luxury fashion in 2019 when it fully acquired the Italian fashion group, Roberto Cavalli. The developer is extending its integration of the Cavalli brand into other projects, including Damac Bay One and Two and the Cavalli Estates' six- and seven-bedroom mansions in its Damac Hills development.

Mohammed Tahaineh, general manager of projects at Damac, said: "Our goal is to carry forward Roberto Cavalli's ethos by integrating the brand into our luxury properties, paving the way for the brand’s continued evolution.”
